journaling says: After years of gorgeous long locks, Alyssa decided she wanted to have shorter hair that she could better manage herself. She begged and begged until Mommy finally gave in when she said she’d like to donate her hair to “those kids that have no hair because they have cancer.” AKA Locks of Love. Finally after we moved to IL, and already had the 6 year pictures, we took her to have 12 inches cut off. She looks so much more mature now, and the hair cut looks wonderful on her.

Oh, what a sweet generous spirit. You must be so proud. Liek the gingham checked papers to contrast with the polka dot (or stars?) dress. Great pictures of her too.

The whole LO looks so patriotic because of the chosen colours!

The colors on this page are great, and the pictures are adorable. I love that your daughter wanted to help others, you must be so incredibly proud of her.

Love red, white and blue. Your DD looks beautiful either way, and it sounds like she's also beautiful on the inside. Wonderful job with the template.

What a very special and caring little girl you have!! I agree, she looks older with her new do, probably not what YOU were going for, LOL! I love her new look! I also love the colors you chose, perfect compliments to those photos -- awesome layout!

What a sweet layout and little girl too! She really does look so much more grown up. I love the colors/papers you used. What a great thing to document.
