There were hundreds of unsung heroes this day and the many days that followed. This is still very difficult for me to even think about. As a patriot I roar with indignation, anger and frustration. As a human and a woman, I weep with utter saddness. I think September 11, 2001 will be one of Roosevelt's days that will live in infamy. This is a true before and after story. Although I wasn't personally touched by it, I have friends who lost loved ones there. America lost something that day - her innocence, her naivete. The world was irrevocably changed. I was irrevocably changed. My brother served 2 tours in Iraq because of it and my niece serves there now - both irrevocably changed. We must never forget and let it happen again.
