Description: This layout tells the story of the Dunbar family of Buffalo, New York and how Sarah Whitburn's children became Dunbars. The 2 children from her marriage to David Whitburn played on the lions at the front door while Sarah cleaned Sylvester Dunbar's house. Northwest Digiscrappers Oregon Retreat

Description: We had a wonderful retreat at the Oregon cost. 40 women in 2 houses - scrapping, eating, sharing ideas and walking on the beach. What a great weekend just having fun with girlfriends. Northwest Digital Scrapbookers' retreat at Warrenton/Seaside, Oregon April 20-23, 2007.

Sailing to Sidney

The Great Northwest Adventure

Description: My dd and I worked together on this room with her favourite scrapbooking characters from Suzie's Zoo (tm). My dd cross-stitched the quilt and painted the walls & furniture. I made the bumper pads and a Roman shade. The characters were in a kit of precut wallpaper called Wallies.

Scrappin Grannies 1st Anniversary

Description: Today, Feb 7th, is the 1st Anniversary of the Scrappin Grannies Group. We shared photos with each other of our beautiful back yards, back porches, and favourite parks. We shared our families and histories in our photos and layouts. We praised each other�s works of art and attempts at new craft or photography skills. (There is a very rich pool of artistic talent in this group). We laughed together, teased each other, and rooted for each other�s sports teams. We cheered for each other�s kids and grandchildren in their sports and arts endeavours. We prayed for family members, friends, neighbours, and grandchildren we didn�t know before this year. We even prayed for dogs that were lost or injured. We kept vigil with our friends as they waited to hear from loved ones after the worst natural disaster we can all remember. We stood by each other through sickness, injuries, bruised spirits, and babies� illnesses. We buoyed each other up when we needed it most. We shared the excitement and anxiety of waiting for new babies to arrive and rejoiced together when they did. Distance, time zones, natural disasters, illnesses, busy schedules, and uncooperative bosses couldn�t stop us. I think we transmitted more email than most businesses did. We grew, we learned, we healed, and most of all, we had lots of fun. Thank you, all my Scrappin� Granny friends for a wonderful year.

Me & Mom 1969

Description: This is a LO I did for the Wacky Retro crop at SOTB. My mom and I sang at several small town events and this was one of them. Mom is now 71 and singing with the Philharmonic Chorus in Regina, Sask. I continued singing, but not to the extent that Mom has.

Description: I just love the water and boats in the summer. Here's my July page. I learned a lot making this one. I created the tiles myself. I liked how they turned out so I saved them to be re-used later. This was also my first attempt at text-on-a-curve. It was easier to do than I expected. Description: This is a Calendar I created as a gift for my Mom. I printed it on Photo paper with each month's grid on the non-glossy side of the paper. The month details included each family member's birthday accented with clip art. I bound it with plastic coil. This photo was taken in November by a co-worker from our office in Vancouver. Moving Water

Description: OK - here's another waterfall picture. ;) My camera is only 2.1 megapixels, so I had no idea how this would turn out. I didn't have a tripod, so I rested the camera on a rock, turned off the flash and hoped for the best. I think this turned out pretty good -- considering. TFL

Maddie's 2nd Birthday

Description: Maddie was so cute at her Birthday party. She knew it was all about her and was so excited about everything, the cake, the gifts, the friends. All of it! The text turned out a little fuzzy when I reduced it to post. The Journal starts with a guest list and the bottom part is: "We had a barbecue in our back yard on the Saturday before my birthday. Everyone knows my birthday is really on August 31st. Southam's brought their Bouncy Castle. That's me bouncing in it. Mommy made a butterfly cake. Daddy cooked hamburgers and hot dogs. I got lots of presents. We all had lots of fun!

Description: The blue and beige in Betty Jo's Cherries kit go with these pictures. I desaturated some of the items to match them with Jada's overalls. (Oops - I should have mentioned that Jada is a girl. That outfit alway throws people off.) :) In the big picture, she's focussing real hard on a sippy cup just off camera. I think the sun is making her frown a bit in the smaller picture.
