CONVENTION LAYOUT CONTEST!

LAYOUTS DUE VIA EMAIL BY OCTOBER 14, 2005!
As part of the convention festivities, SBB will be hosting its own layout contest. Any SBB member who will be attending the convention is eligible to enter. Entries will be judged by the SBB DTMs and teachers during the SBB meet 'n' greet. Winners will be announced at the end of this session. All judges' decisions are final. SBB DTMs and teachers are NOT eligible to enter this contest.
Members attending the convention can enter their layout in one of three categories:
- Best Photography,
- Best Journaling, or
- Best Overall layout
Each contestant can enter ONE layout in EACH category for a total of THREE layouts.
Important Note: Layouts must be 'never before seen' including NOTHING posted to an online gallery or blog. While commercial designers MAY enter the Original Elements category, those elements
must be COMPLETELY created by themselves and NOT have been sold or be on sale anywhere online. Of course, once the contest is over, contestants may post/publish their layouts and sell their designs at their preference. This rule keeps the contest more objective so that the judges are not influenced by pages and kits they have already been able to see and/or buy before the convention. Photographs must have been taken by the layout creator.
Entry layouts must be at least 8x8 in size, with any elements or style preferred except where specified above.

All entrants will receive a participation ribbon for their efforts. Third place in each category will receive a $10 gift certificate to the Digital Bytes store. Second place in each category will receive a $15 gift certificate to the Digital Bytes store. First place in each category will receive a $15 gift certificate to the Digital Bytes store, two free Elements Team monthly kits of their choosing, and a yearly EZine subscription. All place winners will be named and photographed as well as have their layouts featured in the SBB Convention Blog and in the November newsletter. Winners MUST be present at the SBB meet 'n' greet to claim their prizes.
