One question to all you pros out there-- how do you keep things organized and easy to find?! I'm thinking of having folders for thing such as paper, fonts, embellishments, etc. but do you break it down farther to make things easier to find? IE Pink paper, blue paper, etc... Bows, ribbons, etc.... ?
DONT ORGANIZE LIKE THIS That is what I did at first and it was a mess.. I am actually reorganising right now... I keep kits together and organise everything by colors. So i have ( I think 12) color folders like brights ... winter blue and purple... ect. So far this has worked really well for me. One thing that I wish i would have dont earlier but try to always do now... is when i dl a kit. I always add the web address to the end of the file name... Most designers are really good about putting that info into the kit now but I still find it helpful for me.

Good luck and ask away.

Hi! welcome! I organize my kits and supplies by designer for my permanent files ie CD's. DVD's. It is important that you BACK UP your kits! Then for everyday stuff I have special folders for brushes, frames & edgings, stitching, Alphas, wordart, flowers, doecorative, doodles, etc. besides a general digital folder for basics like plain ribbons, bows, I can recolor. Then there is a folder for templates,...oh my! the list goes on! It's a whole lot of fun, though!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to SBB. This is a great friendly helpful site and you will love it here. When I purchase kits I burn them to CD then I know I will have them for sure just in case. My hard drive was crashing on me so was very happy to have everything backed up before it went down. Then when I am looking for a certain type of kit I know I have them on a CD. Just my way of doing it.
