Hi everyone!!!

I'm brand new here and need some help! I downloaded a few kits from Shabby Princess but I dont' know what to do with them after that! I am currently on bedrest with my first pregnancy and I thought this would be something great to fill my time since i LOVE taking pictures but I only have them on my computer!!!

Do you have to have PhotoShop to use the downloads from Shabby Princess??

Any advice/help/suggestions would be great!!!! Thanks!!!

Hi and welcome!
No you don't need photohsop but you do need some sort of graphics program that will allow you to put a layout together - there rae plenty of options and you probbaly have something on your computer you can use
WE have create you first page layouts for most programs
Photoshop
Photoshop Elements
Paint Shop Pro
Digital Image Pro

and if you don't have one of those you can download 30 day trial versions from the manufacturers websites. You can also take a look at this article

Welcome!! What a great idea to scrap while you wait.

So what you want is to unzip your files first. Then as Shelley Rea said you will need a program that can do layers.

There is also a free one (which I have never tried but heard people use) called gimp.

Once you get your program and your files unzipped you will want to bring in a paper, some elements and your picture. Open a new 12x12 document at 300dpi and start with laying your paper. Then your photo and so on until you are happy with the way it looks. It's a lot of trial and error until you get use to your program and find your style. I wish you all the best.
