Question Hello!

I'm a newbie to this place, but not to scrapbooking. Having said that, let me add that I'm by no means an expert either and thus any hints and information will always be received greatfully. I do have more than 40,000 (yes that is correct) digital images on my computer. All mine! I'm a teacher and last summer decided to finally do something with the photos. The problem I run into is that the moment I have an idea I have to spend a lot of hours researching it. Sometimes I find what I need to know, sometimes not. Meanwhile I take more photos and so I never get caught up. This summer's projects are to make 4 digital family albums for my children, so that they can each have a set of the family photos. I also constantly work on albums for my senior students. In these albums, which I set to music I give them the pictures I have taken of them during the 4 years they were in high school (I'm an ESL teacher and thus have the students from grades 9 -12). This is my graduation present to them. They love it, but it leaves not much time to devote to all of my other photos. So I signed up here to see if I can pick all of your brains, not so much for ideas, I have plenty, but for technical know-how. In advance Thank you all

Marion

Hi Marion, So glad you could join us. If you need help, just yell. If you ask a question here, our joint knowledge is a lot easier than doing hours of research. Don't forget to check out the tutorials here too. They are the best out there - in my humble opinion!

The graduation gifts sound fabulous. I work at a Middle School/High School myself, and I can relate to the busy life! TG for summers! You will love digiscrapping once you get going.

Hi Mirion, Welcome to SBB!! I can totally relate to having so many images. lol
One thing you may try are templates which you can find may HERE in the SBB store. Once you learn to use those you can whip up layouts in no time. There are also some premade pages that you just plop your photo in HERE.
Good luck and be sure to share your pages in the gallery!! I LOVE to browse the gallery and all the fabulous work!!

Welcome, you're going to love it here. I also am not the most "technical" in fact I'm having to learn a new software program myself, but the tutorials here are great as are the links to other helpful sites, and the community of knowledgeable, talented folks.
