Just registered here the other day and thought I would introduce myself I'm Sarah I'm 23 and a sahm to my 2 kiddo's Aleesha she just turned 3 years old and Shakeel is 19 months old.
Other then digi scrapping I love to read, I read loads of different types of books but mainly like reading true story's memoir type book's also I have started getting into reading the classics.
I love documentary's favourites being anything David Attenborough for those who haven't heard of him he makes doc's on the animal kingdom and our planet. I also like allot of true crime stuff specially on serial killers. But I watch pretty much nearly all documentary's that come on I love learning.
How I got into digital scrapbooking well first I have always had quite a creative side to me since I was a kid I used to love drawing and making things.
I always loved the idea of paper scrapping but never did because we are on quite a tight budget and I can't afford to do it that way and second the mess I would make would drive my husband nuts lol.
I started messing about in paintshop pro late last year after seeing the pretty icon's and banner's and tags people made around Livejournal and I wanted to create my own so then I looked for tutorials online and then found digital scrapbooking and now I am addicted lol I have been using psp which is still new to me but I am trying to switch to photoshop because most tutorials seem to be for ps.
I love scrapping because I have had quite a crappy past I ran away from home from when I was 13 and got hooked on heroin and crack by age 15 and didn't stop the drugs till 2004 when I was 21 so a huge chunk of my life is missing and gone forever wasted and it has made me value everyday and I want to create memory's so years from now I can look back and remember the good times and so my children can see as well.
Also I use scrapbooking kind of like therapy helping me deal with some bad things in my past that I've always tried to forget about.
Well I think I will shut the hell up now lol sorry for ranting on and on
And hope to get to know you guys better and participate in the challenges and what not thanks for reading my intro

Hey Sarah!! Welcome to SBB!! What an amazing adventure you have overcome!! Congratulations!! Can't wait to see your layouts!!
I too started with psp and switched to ps. It took a while for me to really stick to it but eventually I did.

I just wanted to say way to go you! You've obviously come a long way since you stopped taking drugs etc, digital scrapbooking can be therapeutic..it helps me when I'm feeling down.

By the way, where about's in the U.K are you? I'm in Liverpool.

Welcome. Glad you found digital scrapping and SBB. You had quite a history and I'm glad you were able to put it behind you. Now it's time to make new memories for yourself and your family. Look forward to seeing your work in the gallery.
