Yet another newbie to add to the bunch! :)

Hi everyone! I've been taking pictures for quite awhile with my digital camera. I've wanted to scrapbook for years, but just couldn't afford it. The idea of doing it all digital is very appealing to me and much more affordable. I look forward to learning much here and getting to know all of you..

Hi Stacy and welcome to SBB! another reason to digital scrap is there is never a mess to pick up before little hands get ahold of it!
No glues or scissors, just save what you were working on and walk away from your computer and you're all cleaned up!

Thanks everyone... This is going to be a GREAT addiction. It is a bit overwhelming though... I want to jump right in and start doing it all, but at the moment, it all seems a bit "foreign"..lol

I remember those days! Which program are you using?
Quick run down:
Find your freebies to use, download and unzip (with a program like WinZip) into a folder you create just for them. Hint Make a new folder for every downloaded kit you get. this will really be important later!
Open your program, find the paper you want to use as your main background paper, (Make a duplicate working copy of this paper so you don't save over the original image and always work on a copy)
Add new layers and place your photo's and elements each on a layer of their own. Add Text and whatever you want and then save it in the native format for your program. Ex Adobe Photoshop = .psd, Paint Shop Pro = .pspimage and so on.
