I Need help in PSE 4.0

I was trying the Tutorial to make a rope sent in by lizziegrace. When I duplicate my layer, then image rotate/flip etc. Both layers rotate/flip, etc. HELP Yes, I only have one layer hilighted.

Also how do I drag a pre-existing ribbon etc, from my browser into my photoshop project? It seems to create it's own project, and doesn't sit with my background/canvas.

However, I was successful at creating the RickRac!!!!
Thanks!!!

PS: You guys have answered all my questions now, Thanks!!!!!

I'm not sure what's happening with the first part of your question but on the second question try doing cntrl j and then drag it with the move tool onto your project.

oh, and for the first question try moving the duplicate layer away from the orignial and rotate/flip it and move it back.

I don't know if this will solve the problems but it's worth a try.

Hi! My first thought was that you clicked rotate the whole image instead of rotate just the one layer. I don't have PSE 4.0, but have 3.0 and have done that before. In the flyout box in 3.0, the rotate whole image is in the upper section and the rotate layer is in the lower section.

Dragging the ribbon into your creation. I will assume that you have the browser area located below the work area. First the ribbon should be in the active work area (larger area). Click and drag it from the work area to the thumbnail of your creation in the browser area.

Let me know if you need some more direction. I'd be glad to help.

Have a great day!
