AAAAAGGHHHHH

Help!!!! I uploaded a LO last nite without "to much" problems. However, tonite it keeps telling my LO is not acceptable. I have resized it and it should be small enough..I can't figure out what the problem could be. (Working with PSE 4.0) I am not sure what else to do. If I reduce the size and pixels anymore it is very distorted.

I read the tutorial and my file is exactly the same size as the one last nite but for some reason it keeps telling me it is an unacceptable file for download. If anyone has any suggestions let me know...I will try again.

is it less than 100k? When in doubt, I take it to just below 100K

When I first started here in October, one of the DTMs taught me a different method of saving images to post in the gallery, and it has never failed me. (I was a total newbie back then myself).

First, save your psd file. Then resize your image (all three boxes checked) to 7 inches by 7 inches and 72 dpi. This gives you a 504x504 pixel image. Then go "file", "save for web". Adjust the "quality" by moving the slider, until the number below the image on the left is below 125k (usually around 80 for quality but varies from layout to layout). Click "ok", then save it as a JPG into your folder for uploading. It will take you back to your PSD image, and you will want to "un-do" the last step or close the file without saving any additional changes.

I have done both methods for saving files for uploading, and prefer the image quality using the method i listed above. Please let us know if you get this worked out, or send a PM for one-on-one assistance.

Hey there! Just wondering if I'm forgetting something... I've never had a problem posting before. When I go to upload my photo, the page is giving me an "Error on page" down in the lower left. My .jpg seems to adhere to all the correct specs. Everyone else seems to be uploading just fine. Any advice? Maybe nobody is following this thread anymore... I'll wait and see. Thanks! ~ Kim
