I'm new to this board, but I've been using PhotoImpact for several years. I started out just using it to restore old photographs and prepare photos for a website. I found the PIRC Message board that has been mentioned here, and really started learning a lot. I've taken the Beginner's Workshop as others have and highly recommend it to anyone. It's very useful.

I do all of my photo touch-ups and scrapbooking with PI in addition to creating all of the artwork for my clipart business. I started with PI6 and upgraded to PI8 and am now patiently waiting for PI10 to arrive in my mailbox.

I honestly can't compare it to other programs because I've never found a need to use any others.
