Question Sanding Effect

Hey, everyone! I was wondering if anyone has had any success in doing a sanding effect in PI.
I saw Dreamy Scrapper's layout that had a sanding effect around the edges of the layout and around the photo. I guess she uses a custom brush, but I'm interested if anyone knows how to do a similar effect in PI. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!!!

Here is the link to Dreamy Scrapper's layout so you can see what I'm talking about:

well have you ever used the brushes in pi?
go to your brush section I like to use bristle you can pick a texture up on your top bar area after you have chosen the type of brush you want to use
pick your color and play around on your paper, make my own brush textures all you have to do is make a black and white layout, whatever is black is what will be brushed on your paper white will not show (it will brush in whatever color you choose after you have saved your texture and then added it to your texture area) save it in whatever size of layouts you ususally do so it will be seamless.

hope that helps!
Dawn

I'm new, too, and not yet used to finding things on the site. Where will the classes be announced--and, more importantly, how do we get into one?
Thanks.

I know PI and DIP are fairly similar so I thought i'ld share how i've acheived the sanded look around a photo. First I matted the picture so that both the mat and picture appeared sanded together. Do not however group the picture and mat. You want your picture selected then click on Edges (mine is under Effects) Art Stroke. Just play around with the "brushes" and width. I set the color to white. HTH

Ooops sorry I was thinking Picture It for PI. I'll leave it just in case it helps anyway, lol!
