Need printing help

help! i'm trying to print out a picture via photoimpact and it's not working. it prints "squished" and "squeezed" no matter what sort of changes we seem to make to the resolution, printer info, and whatever else me and my hubby can find to change.

it's a large picture (2048 x 1536 - 933kb) and i'm only on tut 3 so i know next to nothing...and maybe even less!! any help you guys could provide would be so appreciated!!

thanks!
arlene

Have you used the preview option? There you can uncheck title and centering options to get a bit more space for your photo. There may be other things you can tweak, depending on what kind of printer you have. If you're printing at 300dpi, you should have plenty of room for a 5x7 photo.

yeah, we've looked at the preview and can tell something is wrong but don't know what to change. we can see in the preview that the margins appear wrong (it's showing 4x11 when we've chosen 8.5x11paper). i don't know if the problem is that the picture is too large for the size we want printed or what. oh, our printer is a laser so i don't think the dpi make a difference but if it is an issue, i need to know that too! aagghh! why is this hard?!?
