Crumpled Paper

How do you do crumpled paper? I have xenofex 1.0, but I can't get it to produce the subtle crumples I want. Is there another plugin I can use?
TIA,
KayLynn

I use that too, KayLynn, but I like the crumple filter built into PI too. Both filters have lots of options... play around, you should be able to make some quite subtle crumples. I know I have achieved some success...

Thanks, that tut looks much easier than what I've been doing.
I'm really new to PI. Where do I find the crumple filter?

Go to Effect -> Material Effect -> Texture Filter
Choose Creased Paper [6th one].

The crumples here are not as subtle as using Xenofex.

On Xenofex 2 there is a "crumple force" option. Is that in Xenofex 1 too?

I have also used the overlay approach, not for crumple paper, but for other textures. It is also a great technique.

I have version 8SE, it came bundled with several other programs, probably a preview or trial version? It doesn't have a texture filter under material effects, just artist texture. And Xenofex 1 doesn't have the crumple force option. But I've been playing around with using the blur tool and some of the painting textures over the crumple, haven't quite got it right, but getting closer. Thanks for your help.
