png files

Hi-
I don't know if there is where to ask this but I am using photoimpact... how do you make the embellishments in the png files? I have gotten some die cuts & stickers and want to make them digital but don't know how to do it. Can someone point me in the right direction??? Thanks!

Hi Jill
I am assuming its for personal use First you need to scan the embellishment at 300ppi.
Then you will need to open the scan in PhotoImpact and remove the background.
There raent many who use PI but hopefullt someone can give you more specifics on that

ShellyRae is exactly right - I use PI but it's not often I scan anything in to save as an element. Once scanned you would then need to use the lasso tool to "cut" out object and remove the white background, and you will likely need to use the eraser tool to clean it up around the edges good. Then you would just save in png format. This should work fine - good luck - let me know if I can help further.
