It was just a question of curiosity.... that's why I asked WHY.. must you jump on every one of my posts? My post was not rude.. it was a question.. Re-read you own post and the quote you chose... how is that rude? I have many many paint programs and use some more than others.. however, I choose to use Photoshop above all else because it is the most powerful paint program on the market, with the most coverage for professional photographers and is the industry standard... my question was simply.. if you have photoshop why do you use PI? Perhaps you could answer the question instead of being insulted by it?

I don't. Your posts are more often than not in regard to hardware -cameras, scanners etc which I don't comment on unless I own/have had first hand experience with so I don't see how you can justify that I jump on every one of your posts. I think you'll find there are only about 4 threads we have both posted on since you returned from your little hiatus. Actually, I generally move past your posts and read the next one.

.. and the post you deleted still came through to my mail. Just wondering why you would single only me out. I don't see any comments made to those who didn't appreciate your "flylady" post.

Honestly, Pesto, why do you really care which program she is using, do you work for Adobe? I don't think it was the question that was rude, I think it was implying that PI was a "step backward" that was rude.

If she owns Photoshop 7, maybe she doesn't want to upgrade...Photoshop 7 is an older version and many items created with the current version (CS2) won't work in the older versions (brushes for instance). Maybe she just LIKES PhotoImpact better? Is it that hard to comprehend that someone may actually like graphics program that's less expensive than others?

You don't seem to know that much about PhotoImpact, so do you really know that it's a step backward?

I just had to un instal and re instal again....My Birthday is next month, I think I"m going to drop a few.......hundred hints, that I would really like to upgrade to PI 11 and that it would make a WONDERFUL gift. Think DH will get the hint?

I just can't get used to Photoshop...I'm so comfortable with PI, I think I'm going to stick with it, but definetly upgrade.

Beth, my advice about the hints -- if you've got children, get them to drop hints! I wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer for Christmas one year, so I bought my then-5 year old daughter a toy stand mixer and told her that it was just like the one I wanted! She made sure to "mix" meals for Daddy with it and rave about how much better food tastes with the stand mixer! Needless to say, I now have a beautiful stand mixer on my kitchen counter!
