I'm using PI 10, and I can't get the magic wand to select by color on png images. I've had no problem on jpgs, so I think I'm using the magic wand correctly. Thanks for any help you can give!

The magic wand doesn't appear to work on the png when it's still on it's transparent layer, but if you move the png to your layout first, and keep the png highlighted, you can select portions of it using the magic wand, just make sure the "Select on Object" button is activated (it's in the top menu bar when you have the wand tool selected).

You CAN change the colors on the png directly on it's transparent layer by using the color replacement tool though, it's under Adjust/Color Replacer. It's similar to the magic wand tool only you are masking off a chosen area and readjusting it's hue/saturation/brightness.

Thanks, Jeri. For some reason I didn't try moving it to the LO first. I know about the color replacement tool, but I wanted to be able to fill the selected object with a paper rather than a solid color. All set now.
