Tesina,

Do you mean the different backgrounds of the scrapbook pages, or the webpage itself? You can use any kind of background paper for your layouts, I think one of my tutorials covers how to make your own custom paper (see background tutorial), or if you just open up one of the many scrapbook papers that you can download from the web for free or purchase, you can use this as a base for your photos...just as if you were paper scrapping.

I've been planning a "torn edge" tutorial for some time now, perhaps I'll get one of those written out soon. Vellum is simple, I could probably just explain how it's done in a forum post, but probably writing out a mini-tutorial on this would be easier for people to find than searching forums.

Glad you're getting something out of the tutorials! I always worry that there aren't enough people using PhotoImpact to bother writing tutorials, but I hate to see such a great program not receive it's own attention. PhotoImpact is so much more powerful than it's given credit for!

PI

Hi, I have PI 10 and I love it, any kind of tutorial you do would be great for me, I've been trying to learn as I go and I AM, but the tutorials are so much help!
There aren't a lot on PI , so I search and sooner or later find what I'm looking for, but I know a lot of people have PI, so their learning from some one. Right?
Thanks
Donna

Have you checked out the PI Resource Centre? http://pircnet.com/ There is a tutorial finder in the top right hand corner on that page...

Frayed edges...like raveling fabric. Lumpy, bumpy, hairy, eyelash, and ladder fibers. Handmade paper with all the great fibers showing. Rusted elements. Mesh. chalked edges. inked edges. messy edges. dry embossing. pony beads. backgrounds with peeling paint. sanded backgrounds. crumpled paper backgrounds, straight stitching curves or around objects, zig zag stitching, using a seamless tile as a bacground, making a seamless tile (dots, etc), cardboard, ripped carboard, ripped and distressed cardboard, denim, acrylic elements, gel accents, blanket stitch.....lol....I could go on, especially since I'm probably not aware of all that's out there for PI! Thanks!

Marcy

Hello...I'm new here and when I saw the PI thread, I just HAD to jump in.

Hope I'm not out of line...so here goes.
-------------------------------------------

I've been using PI for a number of years and just love it...however I found after mucking around on my own I needed something or someone better to help me learn more about the many tools available, what they do, and how to use the EP properly.

I found the help I needed in the form of a FREE Beginners Workshop over at PIRC.
http://pirc-bw.com/

Working at my own pace, I was able to complete it in one summer.

Again, I hope I'm not out of line here, but just had to share this little information with all you PI users.

*hugs*
Kilia

I just found out that I have no idea how to use overlays in PI(10). Maybe that could be a tut as well or somebody can lead me in the right direction. Thank you in advance!
