Try Something New May 12 to 18

Try Something New May 12-18/08
This week I want to challenge you to make scrapping papers using Brushes and Dingbats. Shelleyrae has just added a spectacular new Photoshop tutorial to the reference section on making overlays. You must give this one a try. She has referenced some FREE brushes from Stephanie Shimerdla at Obsidian Dawn: FREE Photoshop Brushes, Patterns, & Tutorials (PS 7, CS, CS2, CS3)
Zee has written a tut for PSP using clipart. You can, however, use dingbats, and the best place I know of for those is dafont.com (I find it useful to print out the page that shows the alphabet with the corresponding digbats on it. That way I can flip through my notebook and easily select the one I want!) Here are some suggestions:
Nature dingbats: Dingbats > Nature fonts | dafont.com
Animals: Dingbats > Animals fonts | dafont.com
You might even see some other wonderful possibilities here for your scrapping!! I absolutely love playing with brushes and SR’s tut really gives you some great info! Dingbats are another great resource for you with endless possibilities  You could easily convert any dings into brushes to use in Shelleyrae’s tutorial!

Okay! Lots of fun to be had this week!
1. Select brush set or dingbat/clipart to use.
2. View & practice the tutorial listed above.
3. You can post either your paper or use it in a layout!
4. Post in the TSN gallery here: Forum Challenge: Try Something New - My Layouts
5. Come back here & link us up: I don’t want to miss a single layout or paper this week!
6. I will PM you an 8x8 Quick Page from “A Mother’s Comfort” for all challenges this month!
