"Try Something New” April last week 4/28-5/4
Welcome to my forum challenge. I hope you will join me this week to learn how to do something new! A challenge for me this week….photo bending. For DIP and PSE users: creating a montage or vignette…. Should be interesting!!

PSP**ELEMENT: Bent Photos

Photoshop 6 & up: Technique: Bent Photos Using Action

How to Run an Action: http://www.panosfx.com/index.php?opt...d=46&Itemid=29

PhotoshopCS2 TECHNIQUE: Separating Shadows
You can separate shadows from the objects easily in Photoshop CS2. This will then allow you to create effects such as the popular bent frame look.

PSE** TECHNIQUE: Creating a Vignette **VIDEO**

Here are the guidelines:
1. Choose a photo/s to either bend or create a montage/ vignette.
2. View & practice the tutorial listed above.
3. If you make a bent frame, please save it as a png. file for yourself!
4. Post here: http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/galle....php?cat=12489
5. Come back and link us up, so we can leave you some love for your efforts!! Don’t forget to tell us what program you are using.
6. I will PM you “Spring Whimsey” 8x8 Quick Page for playing along.
7. Have fun!

Raylene--I am using PSPX2 right now. All I am succeeding in doing is making the paper/photo look wrinkled. Which doesn't look bad, but obviously not what we're going for LOL!

From Tracey Rennemo: (who wrote the tut) for Jenny265
With the little info I have to go on according to what she wrote, I am only guessing that it seems like she is not following this step:
"Note: When dragging the mesh points, hold down the Shift key to move a row of points equally. Hold down the Ctrl key (*see mouse icon in image below) to smoothly curve a column or row. Drag individual points to limit the warp effect to a specific area of the image.
