Try Something New: Feb 4-10/ 2008

“Try Something New” Feb 4-11/08

Welcome to my first forum challenge. I hope you will join me each week to learn something new! SBB has the best tutorials anywhere, and I know I don’t spend enough time browsing there. So I thought this challenge would get us to find out what great resources we have here at SBB and to use them. I hope I have covered the programs you have.

This week I want to keep things fairly simple….so here are the tutorials for your “homework”: If you have any questions, please ask them in this forum. (We all can learn then!) Remember: there are no silly questions!

Photoshop: Create your own Buttons
http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/a-tut...icle_666.shtml

Photoshop Elements: Create your own staples
http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/a-tut...icle_441.shtml

PSP: Make your own Brads
http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/a-tut...icle_727.shtml

DIP: Make a Staple
http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/a-tut...icle_403.shtml

Photo Impact: Creating chain links & charms
http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/a-tut...icle_186.shtml

Here are the guidelines:
1. View & practice the tutorial listed above for your program.
2. Create your element(s). Don’t forget to save!
3. Use your new element(s) in a layout.
4. Post here: http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/galle....php?cat=12489
5. Come back and link us up, so we can leave you some love for your efforts!! Don’t forget to tell us what program you are using.
6. I will PM you a little mini kit for playing along.
7. Have fun!

This looks like fun. I'll have to see what I can do. Never done any of these before.

WOW- checked out the PS button tut. PS sure has a lot of options for adjustments in the layers styles compared to PSE!

I would love a PSE writer - if anyone knows someone send them my way
Most of the PS tuts can be done is PSE with a little tweak or two though

The PSE staple TUT was super easy, even though I had to adjust a little for PSE 4 and the MAC. What a super fun challenge.
