we don't approve or deny the item based on what it looks like. in most cases it is just a matter of the item having to be downloaded checked for dpi ( must be 300 and if for some reason it comes out 72 that's ok as long as it's pixel x pixel dimensions show up the right size for it's inches) the file must be named correctly and must have a seperate preview not in the zip file already. just read those guidelines and follow those we need the actual element.

Well shoot I think I goofed mine up then....I included the sample in the zip file lol. That's what I get for skimming! Meanwhile, it's been uber exciting to see the new submissions going up - thanks to all the submitters and thanks to admin for putting in the hours and effort!

I could have sworn it said in the directions 'A sample must also be attached of the items included in the zip. Files that are outside a zip will not be accepted for upload and will be returned to you for resubmission'
That sounds to me like you should include the sample in the zip.. now I am confused!

Question

Hmm I took it as a zip of the actual file and a jpg preview. I submitted a few things a few weeks ago, but i never got a response .. and they still not up yet. I wonder if they don't put things up that are just plain bad lol ? Would making scrabble letter tiles be considered breach of copyright?

Lightbulb

This is what the rules say:

Original files must be 300dpi and in a zipped file. Any elements submitted less than 300dpi
will not be accepted for upload. 300dpi allows users to print at high resolution with superior
quality. 300dpi is considered to be magazine quality and will allow users to use your
elements in layouts that may be accepted for publication.
A sample must also be attached of the items included in the zip. This file must be 72dpi and
no more than 500px wide.
Files that are outside a zip will not be accepted for upload and will be returned to you for
resubmission
.

A sample of the files in the zip must be attached... so you cant put the sample in the zip if you have already made the zip! but yeh it probably could have been worded better lol not to worry

I'll edit that today - we want the thumbnail preview outside the zip file.

Also; I'll be posting tons of new stuff... we were working hard on getting the new site design up this week and didn't want to post new stuff in the gallery only to have to move it to the new set up again.
