Erica, thanks for sharing! I just looked up "New romantics" at www.dafont.com (for those who are wondering!) and it is wonderful! I can't wait to use it! Great fonts you listed. I have got tired of scriptina and recently fell in love with "young love" ( it in my "field of dreams" LO in my gallery... link below). It can also be found at www.dafont.com . It is really elegant and loopy, but different from scriptina, which I still love but played out. -Alison

Thanks for all the welcomes I've received! This SITE can be addicting too!!

Erica, those are too cool! I especially inkburrow. Where did you get Albermarle Swash? I looked at a few links, but haven't looked really hard yet. Thought I would ask.

Ardella, I keep all my fonts that I download in a folder I named "my fonts" then as I need them I add them to the windows font folder and remove them when I am done. If you have a lot of fonts you can save them on a cd to free up space. But, for the most part I believe that installed fonts are what slow down your computer.

Another great font is janelle script found at www.scrappinfun.com . It is a simple script that is great for journaling. I have played with it but haven't used it in a LO yet.

Keep em coming! Fonts are so cool. -Ali

Still looking for Albermarle Swash, but no luck yet.

I know what you mean about LO's for boys. Really don't need need scripts. For journaling, great ones are akbar, dupuy, and darling nikki found at another one of my fav font stops http://scrapvillage.com (fonts are under library).

The places I frequent the most for free fonts are:
www.dafont.com
www.acidfonts.com
http://scrapvillage.com
www.twopeasinabucket.com

Where do you get most of yours? -Ali

Laurie, that is funny! I would be afraid of a font with my maiden name, "savage"... Yikes!

Erica, I joined the group and can view it once I am approved. I think I am about to call it a night! -Ali

My very newest favorite font is my husband's handwriting. I created it last night at www.fontifier.com It's pretty neat to be able to right like him. He doesn't have the best handwriting but it's him.

Other than that I've always loved monotype corsiva. I've used alanis hand and domestic manners that I got from 1001fonts.com quite a bit here lately. I've also used some of the fonts I've downloaded from www.fontgarden.com

Amy, those are so neat! I hadn't been to fontgarden yet, thanks for sharing. I haven't tried the font maker yet, but everyone seems to be having fun with it. I should get my husband to do it, his handwriting is very little and compact which is great for journaling. My handwriting is a mess! -Alison
