wasn't sure which forum to post this in, so i thought i would try here.

Recently we had to reformat our computer. long story. dh put all of my fonts on a cd for me, and they are now in the font folder in windows, but when we installed photoshop, the fonts weren't showing up there... how do i get the fonts to work in photoshop? thanks in advance!!

If they are in your windows fonts folder and not showing up in PS, I dont' know what to tell you! You can try opening the font itself...then minimize it...then open it in PS and see if its there.

you may need to reboot before newly installed fonts will shop up in your PS. ANother trick I use, that works most of the time is to open the windows font folder and in the menu bar select VIEW and then REFRESH

thanks for your help girls, i finally figured it out, i just had to put the fonts in the adobe font folder as well- which i ave never had to do... if anyone else ever needs to know it's
Program Files/Common Files/ Adobe/Fonts
i'm happy i have my fonts again!!
