Any turn their handwritting into a font - professionally?

Hey there!

I am wanting to turn my hand writting into a font, but I don't really "print" and I don't do "cursive" it is a little bit of a mixture of both.. so when I used the fontifer site it didn't really look like my hand writting... so I was wondering, have any of you had it done professionally? What site do you recommend, where you happy with it?

I haven't had it done but saw one of my ct's done. It's really kinda neat. Definitely check it out though. I don't see why someone wouldn't be able to do something like that for you.

Oh and she had it done by someone who isn't doing this anymore. Sorry I can't help you there. Is there someone here in the store that does fonts that you might ask if they can do it?

I would love this, as when I paper scrap I almost always use my handwriting, and I would like to be able to include it on my digi LO's. However, some of the sites are really pricey! I wonder if there are any good and reasonably priced alternatives?!

I also recommend Darcy! I think her prices are really great and many she has a great reputation. I am going to do this in the next few weeks. My handwriting is both cursive and printing and she recommended going with the cursive.

I'm doing it with Darcy too. I just have to write my letters and scan them for her. I'm doing cursive.

Rae - I would say go w/ Darcy too. I DLed the fontifier a yr or two ago and started working on one of my own... what a mess.

Its SO MUCH WORK! I was doing it and thought 'woo hoo' that I was doing it right, well, I wasn't saving it correctly and bleh...

I would suggest, although it is some $ - pay someone to do it. They know what they are doing and you will end up w/ a great product and your hair attached to your head! LOL!

When I talked w/ Kimberly (mamakimberly) on Hello right before she retired from doing fonts, and SHE suggested Darcy. I figure for Kimberly to be recommending Darcy, that was good enough for me.

I noticed on Misty Cato's Blog she had Terry Maruca make a font for here. Another resource to check out.
