I don't know if anyone else is interested, but I thought we might find a way to share our favorite cool fonts. We could do something like ... each sign up for a week, and then during "our" week, we'd post one of our favorite fonts each day.

I did this on another list I was on, and it was an easy way to get good fonts without wasting time browsing on font sites and ending up downloading wa-a-ay too many fonts!

There are quite a few font groups on yahoo that will share any font, non-free ones included. Just request one and they'll send it! I'd highly recommend checking them out and not making Amy have to worry about the legal issues of fonts being shared here. Some lists have been shut down recently for sharing CK and 2peas fonts and I can't imagine how we'd all feel if we had similar issues here. Just too risky in my opinion, though a great idea still. I know a great group if anyone is interested, just PM me or email me!

Good point about the copyright/ownership issues. I hadn't considered that; I was just thinking of free fonts, but I know that can get hard to keep track of when you've got zillions of fonts.

I did belong to one of those lists -- and yes, it is great to be able to request fonts. It just got overwhelming with all the fonts that were flying back and forth ... too tempting!!!

That's why I enjoyed the sharing round robin so much, 'cause it limited the number of fonts and they were "pre-screened" (i.e, someone I "knew" already had used them and liked them and made suggestions where they had worked well).

But there are more important things to do at scrapbook-bytes than fonts, so I agree with you that it would be too much hassle and worry. Thanks for setting me straight!
