Question inked edges--newbie needs help for PSE

Hi,
I have created my first three digital pages and am thrilled...while it takes me many hours to finish (are we ever done?), it is still faster than traditional scrapbooking for me because I am always scared to make that first cut, tear, or place ink, etc. Gotta love the undo button!!

Anyway, I love inked edges and torn edges, but I can't firgure out how to make them. I am happy to download something help, but what is the difference between an inked look overlay vs. and inked look brush? I want to be able to ink all sorts of sizes.

Another question: is it possible to ink a curvy edge with one of these? Will one of these "stick" to a cut edge? (overlay vs. brush?)

OR, is there another way to get this look. I want the inks to be in any color I choose.

THANKS! I love this!!

Atomic Cupcake has actions you can buy so PSE can do the inking and tearing for you, or you can also do both using the brush tools. Just remember to work on a new transparent layer so that you can delete it if you don't like it. I do all mine by hand, but know quite a few people prefer the actions.

Thanks so much for letting me know. i will have to search for a tutorial on what an action is. I am such a newbie. The only thing before these 3 pages I have ever done is photoediting, but pretty basic at that.

Thanks!

I don't have the answers to your questions but just want to say you've just described why I love digi scrapping. I was always hesitant to cut or tear paper but being able to try something and change it if I don't like it is fantastic!
