Question for those on CTs....

When you do a CT layout for a designer, how big do you usually make your page. I ask because I use Photoshop CS and my computer is really slow. So if I make a 12X12 page, often I cannot post it anyhow due to size limitations, and I shrink the layout down to fit requirements. How do you work with your layouts? Do you start with them at a certain size, like 5X5 for the web only, or do you start with something larger?

I guess it depends on what is the purpose of your scrapping your page, I would usually make a LO to keep for myself forever, so I make it the size that is useful to me and then resize it to fit someone else's requirements, but I have not been on a CT yet, not properly anyway

I do my CT layouts just as i do the ones for me. I usually do my layouts in 12X12 (when i print them, i resize to 8X8 so i can print them at work) or 8X10 because i just bought an album of that size that i fell in love with.

I would never ever do a layout small like a 5X5 even if i was going to end up printing that small. You can always resize down, but not up, kwim.

I agree. I do all my CT layouts as I would any other because I print them out. You just need to make sure your preview is small enough to not exceed the upload limit but not so small you can't see details. If you check the tut section here you should find instructions for saving a preview in CS.

I usually do whatever size I would want in a book. For me, that's normally 8x8, but now that I'm designing templates, I've been doing more in 8.5x11 as well.

I create my CT LOs just like I would any other layout. After I am done I save a copy and resize it to 600x600 at 72dpi for posting on the web. HTH!

I make my CT layouts the way I normally do: High res and in the page size I want. I'm still using my photos, applying my "style" (whatever it is, LOL!) and yes, I will be printing these out as well. For posting on the web, I resize to a max of 500 pixels and 120 dpi.

Like everyone else, I scrap mine at the same size I scrap everything else, 12x12. I use a super easy program called Pixresizer to resize my LO's for the web. I resize all of them at 500x500 and I loose NO quality when I post on the web. It's a free program you can google and download for free. You can take a look at my gallery to see how well it works.
