Question Freebie Font Etiquette

Hi there....

I just submitted my first freebie kit, "Susie Sorority". Yay!!! I used basic standard fonts with that.

Can freebie fonts be used for freebie kit downloads? I realize the majority can't be used for commercial usage, but if it's a freebie download am I able to use them?

Please let me know any other guidelines about fonts I should be aware of.

Thanks,
Sara E

I honestly dont know how those things work. But I would think as long as yougive the font creator some credit or link to where you downloaded the font, I really dont see why not. But again I dont know for sure

I would check the licensing and/or TOU for the font itself -- it's the only way to be sure. Too many different variations in the terms of various fonts and foundries.

Remember that copyright infringement might apply regardless of whether monetary gain is involved or not.

"free" often means "free for personal use" which means you can't use it for sharing even if what you share is free. You need to check the TOU of each font or use "public domain" fonts. Check out Larabie fonts.

Yes you can. Here is the link to his TOU. Scroll to the bottom and it specifically mentions scrapbooking.
