I am wondering if it is one of those things where they are not really sure what it is that you are doing ( though you do keep trying to tell them ) and of course most persons first reaction is that you are being sneaky and tying to get something under the radar.... I hope all works out for you. Please do let us know how it gos.

I agree with this. . . It could be just that.

My other thought is that maybe since it is only being offered to LL parents that you're persuing just an isolated market and whereby profiting from LL in general. Just thinking out loud here.

Do you have children in other sports? Can you offer say a ballet thing as well? Have other templates to choose from? I don't know.

It all seems crazy to me, but I have a feeling that it is something in LL in general. I doubt that my boys' karate instructor would even flinch if I did this for the karate kids class pictures, test pictures, or tournament pictures. It is the parents' choice to have it done or not.

Let us know what your lawyer says, I am really curious.

Oh they are just full of hot air Seriously!!!! Every year my son has played Little League ball since he was 8 (now 13) I have made these for parents. Mine are usually gifts ecause My dh is the coach so it's kind of more from him I guess, but shouldn't matter to the League one little bit, especially if you are not using any of their logos or team photos other than those you took yourself. I'm sorry, that's just a load of HooHa!
One alternative would be to bump up your price by a buck or two-which I'm sure parents would gadly pay- and give that $ to the league to cool their jets. But do it only if you want to make the peace with them as you certainly shouldn't feel obligated since ty have no legal hold on you in this. And your price is amazingly low- my son played in Cooperstown last year and the prices were through the roof! But ya know, they will only be this age once, on this team once, win that game once, so it'sa memory most won't mind shelling out a bit for. say DO IT, enjoy your craft, let others enjoy it, bask in their oos and ahhs, and ignore the party poopers!

Isn't it a shame though? Sheesh! If they thought about it, rlynch's layouts would be some awesome free publicity for them! This is for the kids, I mean, C'Mon!

OK so I'm going to update on this situation. After the board sending numerous hateful e-mails and threats to have me ejected from the next game I have to get a restraining order against the entire Little League Board. They have decided to confront me at the game on Saturday morning. Fortunately my sister is a police officer and she is going to be there video-taping everything, of course they have no idea about this. Their exact words were"I cannot believe you are charging for this and Little League is not getting the profit." My response was," Why would Little League get the profit when I am doing all the work and spending my money printing these off?" Since they know they can't stop me from doing this, per Little League rules, their only other choice is to have me permanantly ejected from the fields. They then insulted me by saying that I should keep "my little projects at home where they belong"(their exact words). This is just so upsetting to me because I worked so hard on this project and I was really proud of what I accomplished. The parents on our team were really excited to see what the final layout would look like. I never would have guessed that this "little project" would turn into something this big. I was however advised by my attorney not to step foot into the board meeting. He said I would be committing suicide by walking straight into a firing squad. I'll let you know if anything happens between now and the game on Saturday.

Wow! Unbelievable! I'm praying for you and your situation and praying for them that they might realize how awful they are being.
