Looking for an honest opinion

OK ladies, I became a Heritage Makers consultant last month, and I would like the opinions of women who are into scrapping! When someone orders a scrapbook from my company, they receive a hardbound scrapbook that they have designed and uploaded the pictures to. Personally, I think this is great, but here's my question...

When you do your LOs, do you create them with a set "goal" in mind for the completed book or do you look for something you can add to later?

Well it depends....
If I am creating a memory book for someone as a gift it is usually goal orientied, but I also like to create scrapbooks of my family and current events so I also like ones that you can if you wish add something later.

I would say most of the time I use one you can add to later... you never know what you may have forgotten to add or if someone else has photos of and event and gets them to you late.

Good question Heather!
I don't think that I would ever do a bound book- because I would be afraid that I might want to add a page or 2 later on. I don't scrap chronologically, but I do want to put them in my albums that way when I finally print them all out. And like I said, if I would happen to find a past photo that I wanted to scrap, I would like to be able to squeeze it into my album easily.

However, if it was for a gift or if it was an album of a vacation- something that I knew I would never add to- then I might consider it.

I know many have done bound books and have been very happy with the results.

Everyone is different- that's for sure!

It depends

I have seriously looked into the bound books. I have a friend who is a heritage makers rep here. I have seen the product and I am interested. My problem is that I don't necessarily scrap in order. I want to have enough layouts done that I would feel that I was finished enough that I wouldn't want to add to it. What I want to do is one book per year. But I also want to do a book for each child. So I haven't jumped in any further than the drop-in sleeves because I am not ready to commit yet. Eventually, I will BUT for right now I am just not ready.

Hi Heather!

I have done both.

I've made bound books as gifts to the in-laws. I also recently did an alphabet album for DD that I had bound. But this is more an exception in my case. I still mostly print my LO's and slip them into albums. Like most everyone here, I don't scrap chronologically. So, I need something I can rearrange, etc.

I would say that in the case of say, a baby book, I would consider going hardbound, when I was sure it was finished the way I wanted. For a goal-oriented book that had a definite layout as a 'book', that would be great.

I gotta muck everything else around.
