Uploading your kits???

i am on a personal message board, and would like to share a kit with the members there. I am just starting out so i want to get a feel for my work from friends before putting it online for all to see.

so...where do you upload your kits to? do you have your own website? if so who is your host. are there any free hosts that give you enough space for a few large kits? I am very confused by all of this and any help would be appreciated!

yousendit/youshareit

I used youshareit.com. I still broke it up into smaller pieces for those with dialup of my friends. There is also yousendit.com which allows you to send an email with a link to large files.

Good luck!

Do you want to send them so they can download them and print them out?
If not you can find a few sites that are free where you can build a website and just put your LO's on there. As web sites images they are not that large of a file but still viewable. Have you loaded any of your layouts here in the gallery at SBB? If you have you can just email them a link to your gallery!
Chances are you are either going to need to save them as .jpgs anyhow to make sure that everyone has a program that would open them if you used the ones mentioned above. I know if I sent my Mother either a .psp or .psd she wouldn't be able to view it anyhow!
Just some suggestions. You can search google for free web hosts, granted you usually get what you pay for!! LOL
I know for myself, when I got interent service I also got a 3MB web server space. I use it alot and just add and remove things when it gets full!! I don't know if any of the larger ISP's do that or not!

Do you want to upload a zip file so your friends can download your full kit and use the elements or do you just want to upload a JPEG image sample of the kit for them to view only? If you want them to get the zip file, you can use "sendthisfile" which emails the file, or a host of others that do the same thing--I believe one or two were mentioned already. If you just want people to view a JPEG image, then the web hosting service is the way to go--like smugmug, pbase, shutterfly, ofoto (or whatever it is now) etc. You can easily post JPEG layouts/images here too and probably get a lot of feedback from people here. People here are very kind. Not like other forums I visit (non-scrapping ones). Here you will get maybe some gentle constructive criticism at worst, whereas other forums I visit-well people can be downright mean.
