Time Spent creating pages?

How long does it normally take to make your pages/kits/elements/etc? Sizing everything at 300dpi is making PS render like a slug LOL - 6 backgrounds have taken me quite a long time (with 18 more to go!)

I have never kept track of the hrs because it might make me ill LOL I have spent up to a week finishing a kit - this includes doing previews/ads/descriptions, double checking elements, and taking kit on test drive I only work when ds is napping or down for the night so hrs may vary.(I surf on laptop the rest of the time
Some kits are super easy and finish quickly so it just depends.
But it sounds like you are running out of RAM. I worked well on less than 1 gig but anything lower than 700 might not be enough.

I have 1gig of ram now - come tax time I'll be getting 1 to 3 times that amount, plus I'll be upgrading my processor from 1.8 to 3.2 if my brother comes through. I'm so glad I have a close to top of the line graphics card (we're gamers) LOL.... I did just find that closing all the psd's except the current one (was leaving them open for some silly reason) helped speed things up. Thanks for the response - I am starting to think this will take a week!
