New wanna be designer, help please!!

I've started making some papers and elements and would like to get a gauge of how people would react to them. How could I become a designer on the site and post some stuff for freebies?

Also, are there any great resources for getting started designing, advice, do's and don'ts what sells, etc??

Anyone care to take an aspiring designer under their wing?

Thanks,

laurie

Anyone is welcome to submit freebies to download here at SBB. All the info you need to get started can be found here:
About Submitting Elements to the SBB Download Gallery

Laurie,

Take Kristin's advice and submit some freebies to the downloads section here at SBB. That way, you'll get an idea from the comments and anyone who emails you or privately messages you on what they think of it. Anyone can submit freebies, but SBB reserves the right to choose what they post here.

I participated in the Yahoo group computerscrappingelements2 for a while before I started selling my kits. I found that I got good feedback there, as well as how-to tips and inspiration from their weekly challenges.

Develop your own style. As for what sells and what doesn't, it's hard to gauge. I make kits that I like, and some of them sell better than others. I don't really know which ones are going to sell well and which ones will be flops until I put them in the store and see what happens.

Does that help?

Kathryn
