High Dynamic Range

We just had a small workshop on High Dynamic Range at my local Photo Club. I thought I might share some of the links I found concerning it.
The basic idea of High Dynamic Range is that a series of 5-7 photos taken at the same time of the same subject at varying exposure stops. They are then merged to create the perfect exposure.

Not sure if it is mentioned in the article or not (since I didn't read them yet) but you can "fake" this HDR process as well with a single photo. Take a RAW photo (you can use JPG too but the results will not be as nice) and just process it using 3-5 different exposures (+.5/-/5. +1/-1).. then save each copy and go through the same processes in Photoshop... You'll get the same HDR without the need for 5 different photos (and will not need a tripod nor need to keep the shot exactly the same). Enjoy!
