Great place to take photographs
I just joined a local camera club and my first outing with them was to an auto salvage yard. I had no clue all the interesting shapes, colors, and textures that could be found in one place. If you have one near by then you have to try it - dress accordingly, especially if you're like me and tend to get on the ground for shots.

Yes.. you'd be surprised at what you can find. My favorite photo activity is to just grab my camera and take a walk around a city.. just shooting things as I find them.
Be careful in those scrap yards though.. many sharp, rusted, & potentially dangerous objects around.. so make sure your tetanus is up to date!

My sister has some wonderful shots she got just walking around her high school... the things you find in a high school.

Great shots Silly! I'm going to have to invest in a SLR camera - my point-and-shoot just ain't getting the job done.
