I want some of the L lenses with IS and USM. (I'm fairly new to the SLR world, so maybe all L lenses come with IS & USM.) I am dreaming waaaay big here! I especially want the 135mm f/2.0 L, but I can be content with the old 1987 135mm f/2.8 softfocus lens (no USM). A newer but used DSLR such as a Canon 10D so that my D30 is the backup. Dreaming way out of my league, though! Less expensive things: 1 Gig cards, lens case, UV filter, external hard drive cover (to store all the pictures), small camera bag just large enough for two bodies and extra battery and card.

Nice List Marcy.. that would be a great gift given that is costs almost $1000... me - I'm pretty set for gear at the moment but I am thinking of building a new "darkroom" PC for my business... Quad Core, 4GB memory and my existing 2 TerraBytes of storage.. would make using Lightroom and photoshop and all my other tools so much quicker!

Ahhh...well we can dream can't we?

lol No chance of the L lens happening here until the kids are grown. I can shoot my grandkids sporting events! lol Realistically, I'll probably get $ towards that softfocus lens and I'll be utterly thrilled with it! So much better than the nifty 50 that I have now. I also might get one of those puffers in my stocking. That's doable.

What are the chances of you getting your digital darkroom or anyone else getting their items on the wishlist?

I want an 85mm 1.8 lens, a Nikon D300 (that's far fetched - probably stick w/ the D70 for now), a lightbox for my Bee and a big reflector.

Oh, and I thought I'd add what I have and love for enabling purposes... I love my speedlight with Gary Fong cloud lightsphere, my white seamless paper (it is so much better than muslin), my Alien Bee 800 and umbrella, the 18-200 VR len s and my 50mm lens.

I know what I'm gettin' for Christmas! Cuz I was told to order it! lol I got a used Quantaray zoom wide angle - telephoto 28-90mm f/3 and a new Canon 85mm f/1.8 EF USM lens! I don't know about the Quantaray, but I really got that for myself. At dh's Christmas party I won the Guitar Hero 3 thingie and I had people begging to buy it from me. Since we don't have that gaming system, I sold it. The used lens cost $15 less than what I sold it for. I don't know how well it's going to work, though. I can't wait to see!

I agree with bccruiser, a cute bag is always a plus, and Oh, Yeah, I'll take a Rebel.
