Wink Digital SLR

Ok, I am slow to swap over from point and shoot to SLR, hehehe. I just purchased the new Nikon D40X. I was so nervous about not being able to use it that I had the sales person at best buy show me the key features before I left the store. I am in love with it already!

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good online resource for tutorials and stuff for beginners new to digital SLR cameras. There is so much to learn!!!!

With my camera, I learned the most by setting it on a tripod and taking the same shot over and over using different settings. I just upgraded my camera too, so now I have to do it all over again. Oh well...

Thanks for the suggestion, I do need to get better at using the tripod. I've had one for years, but never got used to using it. I am usually all over the place when I take photos, hahaha.

HAHA, Brenda, I guess I do need to step out of the box. I have only tried the settings that I am familiar with so far. I need to branch out!!!!

The only resource I can think of is a book by Bryan Peterson called Understanding Exposure. It's simple to the point and has some great photos as inspiration!
