Ok folks.. as promissed, here is my first tutorial in the series of Digital Workflow Management. Titled, Acquisition, it discusses how best to transfer photos from your digital (SLR) camera over to you computer (PC). I discuss using a download manager and naming conventions to ensure a good first step toward best DAM practices.

The next tutorial will be about Backup and Archiving - the next step in good workload management.

Please, let me know if you see any errors.. and please, provide me with some feedback (good and bad) and of course, questions which I'll be more than happy to discuss.

That was great Pesto!! Many times I do not rename my photo's and run into issues with photo's having the same names but yet they are not the same photo. So what I have to do is to create another new folder and put the photo's in there.
I don't like having too have so many folders but man a person runs out of names for the photo's after awhile!!

I'm with Fran....ready for the next one!
