Following a leader in June.

As a first for June I have chosen a technique, which many of you know, love and use, and some will have fun to explore and learn no doubt it is hand colouring technique or selective photo technique or whatever you choose to call it. Once you have done it, it's easy peasy! So try it, or try again, it is well worth the effort, and to start you off, I will send you all to read an article in the tutorial section by lovely Zee Helmick, and I hope there will be lots of us this time, learning together, and sharing our tips...

Here is the tut for you.

Please post in our gallery, and link here to remind us to check it out. Have fun!!!

Can I also use the selective color feature on my camera? This let's me select a color that will stay in color and the rest of the photo will be B&W.

Hiya, Ladies... I am not up to speed on a lot of the techniques. I just sort of flail around and figure out ways to do what I want. The way I have been "selective coloring": I make a duplicate of the photo, link them, desaturate the top copy, and then erase the part where I want the color to show through. <shrug> It has been working for me. Does anyone else do it that way?

Blessings,

Laurel

I do my selective colouring in photoimpact by using the lasso tool, I also do selective colouring the same way as the tutorial you posted.

Can I do a scrap page...or does it have to be just a photograph?

Oh, wonderful. I love doing this kind of stuff. Did this one today - what a piece of luck as I hadn't seen the photo challenge at that stage. So here it is:

Can't wait to see what everyone else does. Fabulous
