I'm so bummed. Unless I'm missing something (entirely possible) my camera won't do this. I don't have one of those fancy-schmancy cameras all you cool kids have. I looked at my manual and av modes, and it only goes up to F8.0. Am I looking in the right place? I have a Canon PowerShot A95, and I still have soooo much to learn.

My Canon A510 also only goes up to F8.0, but I found the best examples of DOF in my pictures were taken at about F5.0? Here is a layout with a photo that could almost make the DOF challenge, but the foggy lowlands make it look out of focus for that section. Then again, I was taking the picture through a moving vehicle's dirty window, so it didn't turn out too bad.

See if your camera has landscape mode, it might look like a mountain icon and it will probably give you a better depth of field.

Oooh, my camera does have that. I'll see what I can do with it.

Here's mine: Rainforest Path

I'm also wondering what happens when these challenges end? Is there a vote and a winner or something? I never heard any results on the moving water challenge. Just curious.

I also found out that if you use a point and shoot digital camera your camera will probably give you a greater depth of field automatically since most of those cameras are set to be more simple to use.

These challenges are just for fun and for trying something new with photography.

Didn't think I'd be able to participate in this challenge since I can't adjust much on my current camera, but I think this one I caught a couple weeks ago works? Got my new camera today and can't wait to try it out.
