Well it definitely was a "Challenge" - maybe I should stick to shadows, LOL! I have a better camera on my Christmas list instead of the little point and shoot that I'm using. If Santa is good to me, I'll revisit this one.

Oh this challenge looks so fun. I have never participated in any of the photography challenges - just came across this now. I have for some time now been experimenting with ways to take my own pictures at home, and wanting to be able to set up my own little "studio." I will definately have to jump in on this and give it a try.

OK..here is an attempt I made the other day. I didn't use a backdrop then, I was trying to just playing with the effects of the natural light and shadows that day - hadn't seen this challenge yet. Now I want to try some with backdrops. I have made some backdrop attempts, but they were not so good. Now that I've read a few tips on here...I'll be playing again soon.

Also, here is a shoot I did a few months ago on a black satin dress. The ones of the baby didn't come out so good, but I loved the hand pictures.

I finally had a chance to pull out a sheet and get my older dd to play model for me while I did some more experimenting. The light wasn't quite as bright as I would have liked it - I'll have to try another time and continue to experiment. After cropping and adjusting some of the pictures on the computer, I did get some I was pleased with. I must say thank you for all the tips you all have already shared with me. I'm determined to become a much better photographer. I'd like to get a nicer camera eventually too when I do get better at this. What fun fun. thanks!

I know I'm late for this challenge, but early for christmas pics.
I did a photoshoot in the house, with some old table clothes as background and had to cover the window as the sun was too bright. I got some cute shots and will show them later this week. Thanks for the challenge and for looking!
