Nevermore, you are totally cracking me up as I'm reading your posts!! You're doing better than I am; I haven't even tried to do this challenge yet! I think that your photo effect is very cool, though, even if it wasn't what you were going for... keep at it!

OK, I tried. I live on a busy street, so at first I tried taking pictures of moving cars, but they seemed a bit too fast. I was trying to look nonchalant and pretend to be taking pictures of things across the street, but there was probably more than one driver wondering what I was up to!

So I decided to try Nevermore's bribery thing with my 4 yo. Come to find out, he wanted to run back and forth across the yard. After 5 minutes it got old, though, and he made a dash for the door. The photo I posted is the last one I took. It's not quite the effect we're looking for, but the background is a bit blurry!

I'll keep trying!

I know, but I shoot in RAW format for everything.
And the dogs kept getting in the way wondering why we are playing with their ball,
and it wondering why their ball was on the couch.

Oh, okay, I get it--you are not being brilliant, you are just torturing your poor pets But I am going to try using a golf ball and a swing tripod. My house is small and time is limited. Will have to do this at night. Will have to move spouse, wide screen tv and reclining chair out of living room. NO room even for a golf ball in our living room. I feel like I am being really let down the garden path here-- first there was the macro (hey, neighbour, you might want to cut that long flowering grass instead of taking pictures of it), now the pan (no verbal abuse from drivers going at x kms per hour, just various finger signals). The kid doesn't want to know me anymore (run, honey, run, please run for me) and the spouse ain't gonna like being parked on the front lawn. I will continue to participate but sure hope a post photo challange support group for those whose lives have been demolished by this activity is going to be hosted here.

Technique for August Panning

The tip about the hips really helped, thanks. I got so excited about having a picture of my husband doing something other than sitting that I had to scrap it before I posted. LOL. I posted in the gallery as It's All in the Form. BTW, after the first couple of tries, I realized it would probably work better if I took off my skates.

I have a couple of Panning Pics but have had no luck uploading them.
Tried many times last night and again just now.
It says it is uploading it and then it just disappears.
Never brings up the second page.
What's going on Help, Please.
