But, forgive me, I'm not catching on where to post, how to post, how to make comments on other people's work.

Could someone give me a REALLY simple tutorial on how to follow the rules and post for the 7-a-week game. I assume you can start playing even now, right?

Thanks for your help!

Welcome Cocos Mom, and yes, you are welcome to join in the fun of this challenge!

The rules are that you create 7 layouts during the week and post them in the gallery (you are not allowed to claim layouts previously made for this challenge). For each layout you post, you must comment on a minimum of two layouts posted by other members in the main gallery. Then you go to your own layout, copy the address from the browser bar and paste it in the current thread for the challenge. We only post once on the thread, and then go back and "edit" to add more links to the layouts.

For uploading, your layout should be 500x500 pixels and under 125kb.
If you need any other assistance, please just shout.

We will be starting a new week at midnight EST tonight which means I start a new thread, and close the previous one. Start numbering your layouts with 001.

I noticed a few rule changes for week 4 of the challenge - using the posting prize from the previous week. How do you get them? I believe I qualified during week2 and also made the quota for week 3.
Thanks.

If you didn't qualify for a prize, then you don't have to worry (yet).
Prizes are sent to you via private message from me. Please check you PM box.
With about 350 layouts to go through this week, your prize this week will arrive tuesday or wednesday via private message.

Hi! I worked really hard to get my 7 LO's finished last week but they keep getting kicked back because they are too big -- 400-450 kb. My LO's look similar to everyone elses so I don't know why they are so large. Is there a way to make them smaller. I'm really disappointed to miss this week but I can't download them.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Exclamation Page-A-Day Prizes - IMPORTANT

First of all, I want to thank all of the dedicated members who are truly showing an effort in completing the Page-A-Day challenge. We have completed the first of 12 months, and you are all doing so awesome in keeping up. There were over 1200 layouts linked for the challenge during the month of January. You all need a big pat on the back and a huge round of applause!

It's not easy to organize and run this challenge, collecting prize donations and sending out the coupons... but it is worth it when I see how it has motivated and inspired all those participating.

And the Bad News.....

Now it is with a heavy heart that I tell you that the coupon code issued for my store has been disabled due to PIRACY.

When a coupon code is sent to the weekly winners, it is meant to be used once by each winner and only the winner. Sharing a code or logging in under multiple names to use a code more than once is considered STEALING - a form of DIGITAL PIRACY that is NOT ALLOWED.

I will not be naming names except to the admin of the store and website.
The Canadian authorities may still be contacted as they take this type of action seriously.
(Sometimes it is great to be a Canadian Designer)

Not everybody is guilty... If you are a member that has not been able to use the coupon code, but were issued the code for the challenge, please PM me so you can receive your new code. All prize codes issued from this point on will be heavily monitored until further notice.
