Amy, I don't know about ACDsee, but with photoshop album, I can choose which folders to import from. Maybe you could put the zip files in a folder that is not at all associated with the other files you do want imported (for example on my computer I have a file titled scrapbook elements and the other files inside of that for designers and I only put stuff into that folder that I want imported). Not sure if that would help, but it might be an easy way of making sure ACDsee is not looking in the zipped files.

I have never imported anything but just chose what folders and file types to associate with ACDSee. You can choose what file types by going to Tools>File Assiociations.

yeah - i have .zip file unassociated with it and it's still trying to "view" inside the zip files. Corrupt zip files it was trying to create thumbnails for. Once I replaced and unzipped ALL zip files; everything is fine now

PS - anyone else who runs into this issue; it's version 9 that I'm using

Glad to here that things are working better. I don't understand why it would be trying to work with files you've told it not to. I guess that is why I'm a program user and not a creator.
