Scanning items for LO's

I have an idea but I'm not sure where to go with it. I have my dd's wrist band from the hospital and I wanted to incorporate it onto a LO.
I don't want to do a flat scan. I want it to look like it was wrapped around her arm (I have no pics of it on her). Any ideas? I want the realistic look/feel.

Maybe photograph it wrapped around something - a rolled up towel or something the approximate thickness of the wrist and then extract from the photograph

I agree with Shelleyrae. Look at the angle of the picture that you would want to use it on and try to simulate that angle when you photograph it. Then extract it and use it on your layout.

If you can get the lighting to be good, I would take a doll and wrap the armband on the doll.. then you can do an extract from that.. the dolls arm should approx the size of the baby arm and will look more "natural". Good Luck.
