I havea friend with a MAC and will be using iphoto for basic photo editing etc. She is a real computer newbie - can any one recommend any sites with good tutorials for using iphoto?

I think the reason why you are not finding very many (or any in my case!) is that Iphoto is really just a browser and simple editor... its not really a very good paint/photo program for making layouts. You can create things.. but not as free formed as you can in photoshop. Has your friend considered buying iremember? seems to be the Hallmark for the mac.. I'm sure it too is limited but will be much better than iphoto. Of course... photoshop is available for the mac..

For slim money.. you can also have her try: Pixel.. it is one of the best shareware style (think early PSP!!) photoshop replacements... It is very very nice for $38. Good Luck! http://www.kanzelsberger.com/img/osx.png

She doesnt want it for digital scrapping just basic photo editing like red eye removal etc. She is brand new to computers in general. I can only find some basic stuff on the MAC site - couldnt find anything much through google so was hoping someone might know of a site that I hadnt found

I use I-photo on the Mac and find it great for fixing red eye and the like. She should have a bit more of a fiddle, she will be surprised.

aha.. that's different. Yeah.. Iphoto is ok for that stuff.. its certainly better than what MS ships as its paint program (I cannot believe that is still the default paint program and that it still uses BMP as its format... ).
