Connie!! ***I bow before your greatness***!!

Your site and tutorials are so well thought out, thank you for this valuable resource. I have a question for you...Is there a way to have tiny previews on the folders in the LEFT frame...the "folders" view? I've searched through everything, and I'm not finding there to be a way. It's not THAT big of a deal...I just got used to having that. I know you can see everything in the center frame AFTER you've clicked on a folder in the "folders" view, but a lot of times, I don't know if I want to open a folder until I have a GLIMPSE of what's inside. This little thumbnail would be nice to have.

Not essential, but nice!

((sigh))...well today I have to SEW...I can't play on my 'puter...waaaahhh!!

Blessings!

Julie

Hey Ladies...here's a question for you...

Say I have a TON of digi-stuff that I've organized and everything in ACDSee. NOW, I want to get all that stuff off my poor hard drive and onto DVDs. What will happen in ACDSee when I later put these DVDs into my drive and access the files? Will ACDSee know they are missing from my hard drive, but now on the DVD drive? Will the program be able to re-associate everything with catagories, etc?

By the way, Shelley....your tuts are GREAT!! I'm printing them out and adding them to my "ACDSee Bible"!!

Blessings,
Julie

Good morning Julie,
and THANK YOU for your compliments!! My sister & I have spent a bit of time creating our website & we love helping everyone out. We also have a number of computer related informational items too.

One thing Julie that people do when they're organizing is just open a 2nd Photo Manager. Go under File New & it will open a 2nd one, then you can your files in more than one way!

And for the last question, ACDSee has a wonderful feature called Photo Discs. This allows you to burn cds/dvds and put the files on them & ACDSee allows you to see the images & search them even when the discs are NOT in the computer!! So, yes! it's the perfect way to lighten your hard drive. And later if you get an EHD, it's easy to put them on.

Just remember to do everything inside of ACDSee & you'll be fine.

I was so fortunate - I WON my copy of ACDSee (thank you, Amy Teets!) I'm so excited about what it can do and I love the DVD burn option. I have a couple of EHDs, but barley 100 gig between the two. Not nearly enough. I bow down and call blessed all those who had a hand in this wonderful tool!

Gosh, I am really encouraged to give ACDSee another try. Bought it a couple months ago but haven't dedicated much time to the tutorials. Everytime I did try I didn't make much progress and was really frustrated- Found out I needed a patch for Vista Upgrade. Haven't tried anything since the upgrade but this thread and everyone's comments are really motivating. Thanks.
