Slideshow software

I know I have asked this before but if you have created a photo slideshow with music, nice transitions etc
what software did you use?
I am thinking if I ever get my photos organized I will do a tear jerker of a DVD for ds with all his baby photos and of course other projects.

This is the time I wish I had a Mac, my bil did a fantastic one for his dd graduation that included video and photos..and he said it was so easy (rubbing it in of course).

My recent one was done with PSE5.0. Pretty easy to do, lots of transitions, easy to type on the photos, and a really neat pan and zoom feature (which if used on too many photos make you kinda nauseous). I didn't add music but you can.

I did one a while back using Pinnacle. It had really neat transitions and what not to choose from and you could add any mp3 to it.

There is another program I know lots of people like, which I think does the same thing but cant think of the name at this moment.

There are a lot of ways to make one. Microsoft has a free product called PhotoStory but if you want to burn it to DVD you need to make sure your burner can burn the windows format. Mine couldn't without an upgrade so I used a slide show maker called Magix Photo Story, which I really enjoyed using and learning.

Oh, Dani, we bought ProShow Gold a couple years ago after I saw it highlighted in a Digiscrap Magazine and I absolutely LOVE IT! There are probably a hundred different transistions and you can even put little movie clips in and do zooms in on your layouts, photos etc. It is so awesome, I would totally recommend it. We've put together a year in review the last two years (about 20 minutes long) and they were perfect! Good luck!

I know you aren't using a Macintosh; but for those who are---I started out making my slide shows (which also include video clips) using iMovie, because it came free on my computer. It not only allowed me to use transitions, but also to use transitions for the music so that I could have different music for different parts of the show. I also added a voice-over narration. I have since graduated to Final Cut Express, since it allows me even more power (special effects, keyframing, fancy titling, etc.). I make these shows of our trips and am constantly invited to places to show them to groups.
